They went electronic in '98 or '99. Most likely cause is a bad vacuum diaphragm on the parking brake mechanism. Try pulling the emergency brake handle back and releasing it 50 times. It might just adjust the brakes through that action alone. worth a few minutes and if the rears are as 75 aces described we had to do that on the early 79 and up 280ZXs when we did a rear brake job. If it's loose, either the cables are not connected to the rear wheels' brake assemblies, not connected properly, or the cable and/or pedal is damaged/broken. Then reinstall everything, pump the brakes a few times, jack the handbrake a few times, and see if it works. (I did all of the above, but my pistons were fine. Upon turning the car on, after 1-2 brake pumps I've lost all pressure again. I can still stop, just maybe at 10-20% of what it should be.
